Lamekia is a true philanthropist at heart and is the founder of the Heyy Girl Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial literacy and mentorship programs to at-risk and homeless youth. Her efforts were recognized when she was named the 2022 unsung heroine in the Cook County 6th district.
